How to Match the ZJ80D to Your Project
Ultra-deep projects are decided before the first joint is made up: on a 6000-8000 m well the pad power infrastructure has to feed a drawworks rated at 1800 kW, and the rig specification starts there rather than at the mast. The ZJ80D is our super heavy-duty SCR DC drilling rig, rated for 8000 m on 114 mm pipe, a 5850 kN static hook and a ZP605 table - the largest hoisting envelope in our electric land fleet. Its upgraded high-capacity SCR system delivers constant ultra-high torque with strong resistance to complex-grid fluctuation, which is why it is specified for pre-salt strata, ultra-deep tight oil and deep shale gas block development and for national key projects. The super-heavy open-front mast and reinforced substructure are validated for long-term peak-load tripping, and the sealed driller room is dust-proof, heat-insulated and corrosion-protected.
An inquiry at this class begins with the power balance: tell us the installed generating or grid capacity at the pad, including the margin reserved for pumps and the table under peak hook load. The 42 mm wireline on 6 x 7/12 lines, the -40 C to +55 C range and API certification are standard, but mast height, substructure load-out weight and heavy-transport routing must be planned against your port and road limits before fabrication. If your deepest wells stay near 5000 m, the ZJ50D avoids the jump in shipping and foundation cost.
Because the delivered ZJ80D configuration is tied to pad power, blowout-prevention complement and transport routing, our engineers will confirm the full specification in writing before the order is placed, so the machine you approve is the machine that arrives. Lead time and build-milestone reporting are quoted with the commercial offer, which is structured around the pad power and routing plan rather than a fixed list price.
